As far as children’s toys go, nothing beats taking a Tupperware box, turning it upside down and dumping out all your Legos or Lincoln Logs. As a kid, you just sit there for a few moments and think, “OK, what am I going to do with all of these? What should I build today?” With just those two questions, the most amazing answers can arise. A child may start building with no real plan in mind, and suddenly they’ve got what they’ll tell you is a spaceship that reads grass content on Pluto..
There was no telling when the train would come. There was no real itinerary. Travelers and rail workers had told me this trip could take anywhere from 24 hours to three days.My feet had long gone numb inside my hiking boots when the Bolivian train arrived two hours later and the border turned, as my guidebook promised it would, into a scene of considerable palaver.
Simpson, who will be a junior this fall at Mary Louis Academy, a private Catholic school in Jamaica Estates, Queens, has wanted to be a doctor since age 7, even dressing up like one for Halloween. “This summer has been a great opportunity for me to be around people in the medical field,” she said. She recalls going to visit her 103 year old great grandfather at New York Presbyterian Hospital and hearing him tell the nurses, “She’ll be working here someday.”.

Nobody here was joking when we stressed the importance of neutrals in the wide world of Claire Underwood, and that rule applies to even her footwear, which, for the most part, is black. (Or more specifically: black Louboutins because of course.) Which makes sense: her clothing choices make sense, so of course she’d build her neutral vibes from the feet up. They’re also timeless: like 99 per cent of Claire’s wardrobe, she can wear these with anything, and they’re not going to go out of style anytime soon (or ever)..
When a woman is talking about astrophysics, people often question whether she is indeed brilliant. I’ve been very, very fortunate to be in places where my race and gender weren’t a factor. I feel like I’m creating a new image of what a scientist can look like and be like at least I hope so..
